Food Connection

Food Connection is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was born in 2015 out of a meeting with Dig Local member, Packs Tavern, and Flori Pate. They shared the belief that "no fresh food should ever end up in the trash while people go hungry." Since launching, Food Connection has rescued and delivered over 600,000 fresh, surplus, chef-prepared meals which have gone to feed our neighbors in need. This has kept 275 TONS of the Buncombe Co. landfill.
